Join the Seattle Wind Symphony’s Star-Spangled Spectacular!

The Seattle Wind Symphony is looking for 200 piccolo players to join us in our 5th annual Star Spangled Spectacular at Benaroya Hall on July 3, 2017.

The piccolo section will join the band on the finale of the concert to include Goldman’s On the Mall, Chimes of Liberty, and Sousa’s The Stars and Stripes Forever.

Our program is a salute to Americana and patriotic music of the USA and will include Dave Beck (KING-FM) narrator, Seattle soprano Alexandra Picard, and the Seattle Wind Symphony choir, under the direction of Dr. Linda Gingrich.

Repertoire

Goldman’s On the Mall, Chimes of Liberty, and Sousa’s The Stars and Stripes Forever.

Requirements

Ability to play and memorize the solo piccolo part to the trio sections of Sousa's "Stars and Stripes Forever" and Goldman's "On the Mall" and "Chimes of Liberty". Music will be provided later this spring.
